Saint's Alp
 The
Challenge
Saint's Alp Teahouse is the first Chicago outpost of the Hong
Kong-based chain. When franchisee Alex Tam opened his first
restaurants in Chicago Chinatown, Illinois, keeping an eye
on the business was relatively easy. As his chain of restaurants
grew, overseeing the business became more and more of a challenge.
Concern over shrinkage and liability claims finally prompted
him to consider a networked digital video recording system
that would allow him to access live or archived video from
all of his locations.
The Solution
Alex received bids from several security system suppliers,
but chose Vintech 4000 Series DVR because of their exceptional
network performance and ease of use. Alex is able to access
live or archived video from cameras located at entrances and
exits, cash registers and in kitchens and dining rooms at
every location. His Vintech DVR have provided useful evidence
on numerous occasions and have easily paid for themselves.

The chain has 40 locations in Hong Kong, but only three in

CITGO
 The
Challenge
Citgo, a rapidly growing petroleum marketer and convenience
store chain based in Woodbridge , Virginia , had grown to 76
locations as a result of a major acquisition and required a
video surveillance solution designed to meet C-store needs.
It had to be centralized management and capable of being integrated
with Citgo's point-of-sale systems.
The Solution
Citgo executives agreed that standardizing on one system was
the way to go and knew it was time to move forward following
a demonstration of Vintevh technology. At about the same time,
Citgo also decided to proceed with a pilot deployment of a loss
prevention solution from Honeywell, allows complete integration
of transaction data with video from Honeywell Text Inserter
and Vintech DVR.
Kwok
 The
Challenge
Kwok is the largest meat distributor in Bridgeport, Chicago.
Established in 1990, the company was preoccupied in its early
years with rapid growth and the absorption of a rival chain
in 2001. When the company's senior executives turned their attention
to loss prevention and the selection of a DVR system, they insisted
on partnering with a vendor that would understand their needs
and optimize a solution for their environment.
The Solution
Kwok's loss prevention team began their rollout of Vintech DVR
with the acquisition of 3000 Series units for use in covert
installations. The DVR were constantly on the move from store
to store and subjected to harsh conditions, but took the abuse.
The performance of the Vintech' DVR in less than ideal conditions
and the company's openness to satisfying the Client's unique
needs made Kwok's choice of a preferred vendor an easy decision.
